Right, me my dad and my brother run our own 3-man team. We all have multiple teams to use (Lizardmen and Orcs for me, Dwarfs, Skaven and Humans for my brother and Undead, Elves, Humans and Amazons for my dad).
After looking at Lord Borak, I though about a Chaos team.
The fluff is that Lord Borak the Despoiler is running a new team sponsored by Spike! Magazine, with Borak as Head Coach. He has looked far and wide for suitably Chaotic players to bring in the cash. He has gone for a Chaos Warrior of each god of Chaos. Backed up by the hardest Clansmen in the North, they should be unstoppable.
Here is Borak's starting roster.
7 Clansmen (Beastmen),
4 Chaos Warriors (1 Khorne, 1 Slannesh, 1 Tzeencth, 1 Nurgle),
Fan Factor 9.
I know that the lack of Re-rolls will be punishing, but when the Warriors earn some SPPs, they should all be able to counter that problem. And the Clansmen will all be tailored to do their specific job well enough. Anyway, with that much FF I should be able to buy another Re-Roll.
You have no base skills with the Warriors and will feel the lack of rerolls. You may not do so well at first but it will get better.
40K: Tyranid, Necron, Space Wolves
Fantasy: Dark Elves, Lizardmen, Orcs & Goblins, Dwarves
Good model choice! I always thought Chaos Warriors looked like american footballers anyway, with their big stonking shoulderpads. Hut!
Yeah I've had experience with a team that sucked at first (my Lizardmen didn't win their first 5 matches, then they suddenly became the second best team in our league, behind my brother's undefeated Dwarf team).
