Welcome to Librarium Online!
has any one noticed how ridiculus the possessd is?
the problem is that there doesnt seem to be a limit to there mutations or even how manty of each one!!!
in the last campaighn i was playing a friend of mine managed to save 1700gc witch he put alll into a possesed.
a possessed that moves 30 inchs and has 50 s3 attacks instantly!!!!!
is this tooo cheesy????
should my gaming group put a ban on the use of such cheese models???
I love Pathfinders.
firstly thats quite sad what hes doing but he must have saved for ages so he sort of deserves to have that possessed and secondly hes cheating cuss the maximum you can get for anything (attacks, movement value, etc.) is 10! not 50!..... 10! and this is regardless of multiple weapons or arms. so he cant charge 30' unless he can sprint, and he deffinately cant attack you 50 times.
and if after this has been established the possessed is still too hard to kill, then either come to an acceptable solution, shoot it from as far away as u can with the best shooter u have , with a hochland long rifle loaded using superior blackpowder, and all the shooting skills u could ever need, until he leaves you alone... or u kill it. and if that doesnt work then chuck as much holy water at it as you can get your hands on!... or get more of the above shooters.
all you have to do is stun in or knock it down and you can just keep on shooting it till it dies. come to think of it if its stunned then charge it and it will die, u will auto hit and wound, and unless he has chaos armour from the shadowlord then it will die. no stuffing about.... just one dead possessed.
back to the problem.:ninja:
i ended up doing exactly that which was great!:shifty: and then he rolled a 12 on the serios injury chart!! fantastic!!!:w00t:
or so i thought
we had 4 people in the game and one of the other players had a necromancer with
Spell of Awakening.
so now the possesed is in the control of the second most cheesiest model (vampire maxed out with all skills)! not so great or fantastic!!!!!(
I love Pathfinders.
Hmmm... im sorry for the new situation you find yourself in.
Perhaps you should make a house rule saying that no one model can have any stat of over 10. My friends and I have always presumed that this was the case (not that it matters cuss we never get that far anyway, and usually restart when one person gets too far ahead of the rest)
I usually find that large multiplayer games create problems that wernt taken into account when the rules were written. As a result we (my friends and i) usually play lots of one on one games rather than a few larger games. This means that you can really enjoy the fruits of you labour (with no chance of some pesky little necromancer reaping the rewards that you fought so hard to earn) and it usually makes the combat phase alot less complicated.
The necromancer issue in particular is one such rule. In a one on one game the only way to kill an enemy hero and as a result resurrect an enemy hero is if you killed him yourself or he dies as a result of self inflicted damage (like falling... though in could be argued that the ground inflicted the damage). In times like this, perhaps a solution could be reached that was fair to all participants. Maybe the necromancer should only be able to steal the heroes that the undead warband killed (or injured and thus contributing directly toward the death) or those that were killed by no1 but the owning player or by falling. This would reward the player for his own contribution (or the opponants stupidity) rather than reaping the benefits of someone elses work.
All that aside, i still dont understand how he can afford a possessed with 50 attacks and 10 movement (or 15 if it doesnt have sprint) owith only 1700 gc. Especially as the cost of a mutation doubles after the first.
"The first mutation is bought at the price indicated, but second and subsequent mutations bought for the same model cost double."
Ahh well.... too late now.
