Pics of the Day: Camouflage (I had to really scrounge to find these. It was a little surprising how few camo images I have. Will have to do something about this. Also, Shadow Nugz, I'm working on getting your ice-world images together. Again, you hit upon an area that's slim pickings for me. I'll be working on this too )

I like the way these are in the process of hiding. That is a great touch.

I also like the uniformity here between the men and the tank.

Thanks Rabbit, that was great.

The ones I've done aren't anywhere near this good, but I will try to get some pics up of them.

I'll have to hunt around to find this again, but I've seen an even better version of this. It might even be in the gallery. It showed three suits in a Cities of Death-inspired setting, surrounded by rubble. The camo part was amazingly good, so good that you had to look at the photo twice to even SEE the one or two that were completely hidden. Like the guys above, the photo I saw feated a blue-white line separating the "natural" suit color and the "camo." Great stuff!

I'm really loving the camo of the Termie and the Dread. It looks almost like a some kind of camoflage program was running on thier armor and the color is slowly fading out. Its amazing how a seemingly simple paint effect can have such a strong impact. Kudos to whomever painted those

I'd always imagined that the termis were in the process of resolving a deep strike.

I looked at the termie and dreadnaught and wondered what the guy was thinking, and then it struck me that they were deepstriking guys. VERY nice touch, shame if he used them in a land raider though.

Hmm.. I don't know if I like the idea of terminators teleporting with virtual reality. The effect is cool, but it doesn't scream mini warp jump to me.

See, now that's just confusing.
I was with you on the 'teleporting' termies, the dread I could kinda buy, but a teleporting Land Raider?
No.

Just odd. Where are they wandering around if that's their camo? Battlezone (*link*)?

Funny, master -T! If I recall, the fellow who painted the termis described it as a 'deep strike affect.' I believe he painted the dread and land raider in the same fashion in order to preserve consistency to his army. But as you said, it doesn't exactly make sense. It's a ripe fine paint job though. I'll give him that.

EDIT: It reminds me of the movie- T.R.O.N. Anyone see it? Long time ago.
