Oh, you don't want to know. I can't vouch for any one of these particular artists, but the following model took 100+ hours to complete (includes conversion and painting). It's along the same quality. I would imagine that at least a third of those 100 hours were invested in the conversion, so a basic (non-converted) space marine of the same general quality probably takes somewhere between 60-80 hours. Imagine doing an entire army like this!

Pics of the day: Realistic armor.

I really like that last guy, and I've seen him before in WD. That won (I think) the 2006 Games Day Spain. Good stuff. I especially like the scratch-built little bolter-anointer guy. I love it!

You are quite mistaken in your observance good sir, that is plainly a diorama of a Black Templar that is about to get wtfpwned by a wraith.

Anyways, I am absolutely blown away by the level of artistry of these models. It makes me look at my sub-par painting skills and cringe. (I much prefer building/converting and playing with my models than painting them)

Yeppers, that's the point of this thread, to discourage us all from painting. .

I used to think I was decent, until I started collecting these images.

Funnae. Arjay's LOTD has an amazing illusion of real armor. When I first saw this model, it took me a moment to realize that it was painted. It really does look like a reflection.

Nice thread Rabbit. -___^

I like some of the stuff so far, though some I don't. Such as the last batch, of "realistic metals" the first few I find very false. The SENMM just isn't my thing.

Keep them coming! I could add all mine minis here, but we've seen them all before. Oh and, I DEMAND a dwarf theme day!! =P

I accept the challenge! It will be a grave and dangerous quest {goofy}. I don't have that many dwarves, but I'll see what I can scratch up in the coming days (maybe weeks).
