I did a quick search and came up with a bunch of caped figures holding lasguns. Nice find, yak. The long, waving, yellow grass contributes to the I.G. looking hopeless. Great as always, O-long-eared-one! (or should I call you Usagi Yojimbo?) That Skaven, to me, looks like Master Splinter after spending way too much time hidden away in the sewers of NYC. Good stuff! One more thing: What happened to the PP series? *peers at Yak* I'm sure Minus-T is frothing at the mouth for Circle pics, and I'm dying to see the best-of-the-best of Warmachine stuff!

Rep Power: 66 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I haven't been sticking my nose in here and sniffing around here for a wee while. I like this one. The guy from planet of the apes is decent looking. I think his face could do with some more highlights. Ape-like folk tend to have all wrinkly faces. I think his face is too smooth. The metal areas are good generally. I think the armour on his arm is well done. However those red areas could look better. I think that on the axe there is some lighter bronze close to the joins that connect the axe-head to the handle. It seems to show rust or ageing of the metal. I think that it is a good idea but badly executed. The lighter colour of this area sticks out too much and I think the axe would of been better off without it. To be honest I think my favourite part of this model is it's base. I think it looks like a small pier near some water. The way there seems to be mud and dirt on the wood makes it look like the tide is out or the water levels have dropped for some reason. Of course there may not be any water there at all, but I like it when an effect is achieved that makes something look wet without it having to be covered in water effects or gloss varnish. The small reeds an so on work to. They look like the kind of plants that you find in and around a river. Also the wood looks very good. The effect of making it look worn and old is very good. The wood actually looks damp to me. I think that's very good.

To be honest, Leech, this is one of the rare times that I find myself disagreeing with you. I can't see anything wrong with this mini. The red armor is perfect (a word I rarely use in miniature painting). It has a genuine aging appearance, along with extreme attention to detail and fine gradation shading, almost airbrush in appearance (who knows, maybe it is airbrushed). The face, while not as illuminated as the armor, seems logical enough, as the armor has a sheen, while the face is organic. I can see a whole variety of colors in the face, and all of them appear well blended. As far as the ax goes, the rusting detail near the joints looks to me as though the weapon has been exposed to the elements, and over the years, water, collecting in the basins, has encouraged a greater amount of rust to form. At any rate, those are my thoughts on this model.
