Don't forget that Stealth Suit that was featured in White Dwarf, painted by Neil Hodgson! I don't know if there is an online picture though...

That predator kroot is amazing! Makes me feel bad about all my past kroot conversions =(

I do love those purple Tau. I am sort of bummed that someone else has gone off and made dark tau too. Luckily it probably isn't CC tau, so I'm still original.

I can get the shadowing- just a very complex method of darkening based on an imagined light source-but how the heck did he get that chrome look?

To answer your question, that model is entirely the product of a skilled painter. Here are a few more that might blow your mind:













Some people are just this good, though, I don't generally like the ultra shiny non-metallic metal look. For the hobby's sake, it's amazing, though not too realistic. Who in their right mind would put on such a stunning piece of equipment and then expect to do battle?
