and also just because a model is not big bulky and doesnt have shoulder pads doesn't mean it can't be a member of the imperium. or a space marine for that manner.

I'm not really up on my space marines fluff, i take it the dude with the eye and the heads is Horus, One of the two chaps is Sanguinus, who's the last one?

I'm falling in love with this statement. Sheer classic! As a non-loyalist player, it makes me happy when someone fails to recognize the god-man himself. That's where he belongs...as a regular joe shmoe in gaudy yellow power armor. :C:C:C

After downloading the photo and zooming in, i totally saw the face. It's not obvious in the first photo (though admittedly, in the last one it's easier to see), and i HATE the black hair that takes all the attention away from the rest of the model.

As for the emperor, Eh, eldar and tyranids are what i play, what can i say. I read some of the fluff a little while back (likely in the chaos codex) but not having read any of the novels or the space marine codexes, i didn't remember.

So is he the one on the ground or the one standing?

Well obviously, Horus is the one with the black armour with loads of eyes on it. He looks very evil. Then there's Sanguinius, the Primarch of the Blood Angels, who's lying down because he's been brutally carved up into so many pieces while the Emperor has a flaming sword and is ready to confront his former son and best friend, now a vile traitor. It's based on the picture in the BGB actually, which is itself a redo of an old picture depicting the same event, although it was in black and white and it was drawn in a semi-surreal way. This one looks better, if you ask me, I'll take a good portrait over abstract impressionism any day.

I've never actually seen the picture, only the dioramas (there's a few, one of them is in a codex I think), what's BGB?

I imagine it means Big Grey Book. similar to fantasy's BRB.

Though i haven't played 40k in some time and when i did the book was yellow lol.

I think this is my favorite of the set. More "cartoony" then the others, but a little more austeer and you don't get nearly as lost in the details.

Isn't the other one the emperor?
I believe that the emperor and sanguinish(sp? lol) teleported onto horus hq of his battlefleet but sanguish rolled 2d6 and went straight to horus and not with the rest of the emperors men, thus he was slain in close combat, then the emperor showed up too late...
