Inspiring stuff.
Cervantes: In order to attain the impossible, one must attempt the absurd.
Or maybe enemies fear him, for whenever his armour gets scratched he goes into an effective blood rage, loses all control and blacks out, then returns to consciousness with half the opponents army dead 8Y. I'd like to request some pics using bone coloured...stuff, like armour and weapons etc. if thats OK :ballon:.

I found that these ones caught my eye. The metalic effects on that thing, I don't know what it is, they are very good effects. I like the work involving light and refelction. It gives me an idea of what it is like around the model. Aside from a model's base typically it's surroundings and so on are dictated by wherever it is. If a model is used in a table with urban ruin with lots of greys then typically it is assumed to be a grey day. The refections on this models metal bits indicates it may be a sunny day. This is interesting as using the model on a table could have it affecting the look of the whole table, instead of it being the other way round.
The second group here, the Marines with thier big bolt-poker-spears, they have nice embroidery on thier armour and cloaks. I especially like the work on the cloaks. I do think that the contrast between to golden areas and the grey works well too. I often see very well painted models that completely lack any sense of colour control. This lot are however very well done.
I like the final champion dude here. His armour reminds me of those people in that film, Excalibur. Now in my head I can hear them banging on about the sword of power. I think the armour is good though as it is realistic looking. I also like that it is able to do what the first model did. The colour on the armour makes it look like a bright but cold day. Infact it looks like the early morning in winter. I like it when models can do that.![]()
Agreed. Some people don't like this look, mainly because it's a little too much on the artistic side and thus, the model doesn't appear realistic. However, I've always been a fan of this technique, though you won't see any of my chaos marines sporting around mirrored armor. For one thing, chaos armor isn't renowned for being clean, and two, well...I'm a far cry away from such brilliant painting skills![]()
It's not a choice, it's a Nurgling.
