WARLORDS! MOO HOO HA HA HA! You know, if you went by the scale used in the Apocalypse book, I'd say a 40k scale Warlord would be about 30" high and come up to about my head when on the tabletop. There's the famous one made by GW that reaches up to about the ceiling and I can't remember whether that was a Warlord or an Imperator, but someone was trying to tell me it was a Warlord and I think they may have blown the scale a bit out of proportion if that was the case. I'd say 30" sounds reasonable for the ideal size.

Rep Power: 105 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() This lot are interesting. I like the Daemon prince for the naturalistic colours he uses. They seem to go right through the model but they aren't dominating it which is good. I think that it is a very good example of how to paint a model and use lots of colours but not simply use alot of bright colours. I find people tend to decide that bright colours mean colourful and darker colours aren't colourful, it is nice to see something that contradicts that. The demon-slut or whatever she is, is interesting. I like her expression. The face is really the best bit on her. Her look gives her a feeling that she is in the process of going somewhere or doing something and something else has caught her attention. OOOOO, that spider is a cute wee thing. We don't have spiders like that where I live, we do however have loads of slugs. ('Slugs', they can't hear, they can't speak, they can't opperate machinery!). That spider is interesting though. I wonder if it's bite hurts. I imagine though that you probably have the good sense to leave it alone and let it eat the flies etc, that bother you. Apparently our planet would be uninhabitable if creatures like spiders didn't eat flies.

Fellow Rabbit, how's this for scale? I posted it a little while in the conversion forum. It's the same one that AdeptJosh listed as No2 Titan: ![]() ![]() ![]() Leech, compared to most Be'lakor paint jobs, this one does indeed have a more realistic paint job. The more I paint, the more I lean towards the natural look over the fanciful. The witch-woman (whatever she's called) follows along the same vein of color thought. You're right about her face, in particular her eyes; it's almost as though she's on the prowl, hunting some poor unknowing peasant. I especially like how she's positioned in a semi-sexual position, thus putting her in line with the snares of the Siren. Like my spider? I've been bitten by them before, one much smaller. It wasn't to bad and felt like a bee sting. As I've said, they're mostly harmless to people. Oh, and Cyric, these are for you (and there's no need to thank me):![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In case anyone is interested, here's the news article about these images and how on earth this happened: http://mensnewsdaily.com/2007/09/02/...rk-east-texas/ Side: Thanks for all those who have contributed to this thread and helped it to reach the #4 largest thread on L.O! *gives praise to the little people*

thanks for the additional pics rabbit . I can really get a better Idear of the scale with theses. I was thinking a titan should be about 30-36 inches high and this looks about right. I think that deamon chic is actually a femal minataur and she definatly looks like she is up for some "sexy" trouble ,Te hee. Oh and if those are spiders in texas I am so going to change my travel plans in the future.

The 'web-city' last for several months, then fades with winter's coming. Park rangers said that when it was first created, that it was pure white and stunning; but with all the insects, it inevitably turned gray.

I also recall something like this happening in the UK a year or so back, millions if not billions of little spiders just deciding to pool their resources and build an enormous net and covering some sort of field. Wondrous things... Too bad I haven't heard much lately from a biotech firm which was planning on using genomodified goats or something to create spiderweb-polymers in their milk. Considering the tensile strength of spiderweb, that could've had some nifty practical purposes, like organic bullet-resistant vests. =) I promise I will try my best to refrain from mentioning spiders again.

Yeah, that spider web was pretty awesome when I saw it on the news. I mean, it was just so huge;? I guess the rain washed it away though. About the goats, I think they were working on it, but the latest I heard, admitedly a little old, was that th tensile strength of the proteins that they could separate and make into thread from the spider goat milk was only about a tenth as strong as normal spider webs. Still, that would be fairly powerful, although the costs have to be enormous. With that titan, I'm surprised those guys kept playing. When someone put that beast down, I think I'd just throw the game right then and there. I mean, the gun is several times the size of a landraider! Might see if I could even take off any mass points first though.
