Hello, I tried mixing water with the GW paints as was recommended in the store and on this board and the result was somewhat strange. The paint ended up just sinknig into the cracks of the model kind of like an ink. Is this the result of too much water? Not enough paint on the brush maybe? Secondly, how can you tell when it reaches it's "milky consistency" when you're dealing with darker paints? |

If you want to make the pigment of yours more stable then try adding some more paint to it... Although as frozencore said you can use it instead of inks!

Also, too much on the brush. If you find the brush absorbs too much, use a bit of tissue to dab off the excess. Be careful though, because tissue is fibrous and you don't want those pesky strands to get painted on with the paint. |
