Here is a typhus model I did a while ago, just trying some weathering and lighting effects. All comments welcome.

Nice work there. I like the base, did you do like a green slime/swamp type thing down there?
Tekore (Still waiting for the Nurgle Daemon Prince "Sir Clapitus Drip")
How did you do the armor...right now I'm not especially happy with my DGIf it's no trouble, could you just share how you did that, and what colors were used.
Thanks

I just finished my Typhus recently, too, and I could see why you'd want to go back to him and touch him up (I've seen your other pics of this fella). He's a beast to paint. So many details ... I really wasn't pleased with it at any point during the process until I was just about done. Once I get a camera, I'll have to get some pics of my own up here.
Comments on yours, though. I still don't get the blue. The lighting effect isn't too shabby. It's a nice glow, but blue just strikes me more as a Tzeentch color. A glowy green would have still stood out, but looked less out of place given the rest of the scheme.
My favorite part on yours is all the black recesses - makes things look nice and worn, and dark, and creepy. Looking at the back picture, though, the effect is totally gone by the time you look up to the top of the model. The Destroyer Hive area is a lot brighter than the rest. Maybe it's just the lighting, but a black wash on there to darken it up, and get some black in those recesses might help.
Great greenish color. I know there's a lot of darker Death Guard out there, but I always like the more blanched schemes. Their armor did start off as white some ten thousand years ago. And Typhus here is rusty, and dirty, and everything a good Death Guard should be.
Tekore - thanks, yes, i was trying to paint a glowing greenish slime on parts of the base.
lordsauron - the armor was done with a basecoat of scorched brown, then graveyard earth, kommando khaki and rotting flesh were applied in that order by blending using zenithal lighting technique. then a wash of camo green is used to give that greenish look. Finally i used bleached bone for highlights mainly on the top areas of the model. hope that helps ;Y
dave - thanks for your comment. honestly i dont know why i chose blue for the glow, it seemed a bit strange to me right after i painted it.
Nice Typhus... you have used the classic DG color scheme... I have one objection only to the blue face plate! Also nice basing you have done...
Thanks to all the people showing faith in me

Dear All Concerned,
Personally I think it looks great! Although the pics a a (bit) small, from what I can see you have a great painting standard!
Hope to see more!
