Was able to add the final touches and I announce that I have finished the figure. Probably won't get it shipped out until next week but it is done.

How are the other projects coming along? Good luck to everyone!

Mine is almost ready as well... Some highlighting is needed... But I don't want to show pictures as it will be profound as to who the receiver will be!

Can I do that? I promise I will post pictures of the mini as soon as I ship him!

Oh yeah i'm in this huh? guess i better get to work, eh?

Just kidding. I've almost completed the converting. Whoever my recipient is of this model,
I hope you don't mind a nice base with some corpses on it.

I'm thinking about working on a small corner/diorama for the model to sit in. he/she's a beaut, and i hope you love conversion work.

I can't show you the model, because it'll definitely give away who it's for, so...i'll see you all end of June.

Basecoating is coming along a bit more slowly than I'd like, but it's going well. I only get 1-2 nights a week to paint, so the metallic basecoats will have to wait until next week, but by then I hope I've put on enough paint to make it photo-worthy.

Hey slorak, nice! The yellow armor makes a good contrast with the dark wall. Speaking of the wall, that came out particularly good. What paints/techniques did you use to get that finish?

Everything was primed white. I then took black ink and washed the walls. The base color was a watered down brown violet (vallejo model colors). I think I mixed in a bit of grey or bone for a second pass. I then took flesh ink and dabbed it around the bolts on the wall followed by an orange ink. I only let the ink sit for a bit before "pulling" with a sponge. This created a stipple kind of effect and left the bolt areas looking "rusty".

The metal piping was given a base of brass and then I applied vallejo verdigris to it.

Cheers,

-Mike

What I like most is that it looks like he is more interested in playing his gameboy () than the gaping leg wound.

Hey Dwayne, not to worry. I’m sure we’ll be going this again soon. I already have my next exchange picked out: a Librarian (on a bike?)!

Now back to the current project. Here’s a progress pic:
