highlighting hawk turquoise?

If I'm painting a bunch of something, I do black. If it's a single model and especially if I want it to stand out, I use white. I've used grey a little, and it's a nice compromise.

White's good and so is black, but what about green? Some sort of (very) light green would be an excellent highlight to make it look more turquoise-ish.

Yeah, I'd do something similar. Mix white into the turquoise and highlight with that. And if you want, really water down the white and then do final highlights.

Thanks for all the help guys.
I just have one more question, My main colours for my
troops are going to turquoise, bolt gun metal, but i
need a third colour to break it up. So what would go well with that?
I was thinking scorpian green but it seems to clash a little too much,
any other ideas?

Red-orange is the complementary color to blue-green. I'd do that.

Your split comp colors are, go figure, red and orange. You could also use yellow-oranges and red-violets.

Go to a local hobby store, not just gaming, but hobby/craft store. You should be able to find a cheap color wheel. You can find some online too, but I like having one that I can pull out of the drawer when I'm working and look at real quick.
