Default Greater Squid of Slaanesh

Just finished my Keeper (AKA Squiddy). All he needs is a coat of varnish.
Praise and criticism are both welcome.

That brings all new meaning to "tentacle rape" and slaanesh. I like the idea, my only real issue is that without a size reference (and my limited experience with Daemons models) I can't tell if that's a full sized keeper or smaller, it looks smaller in the pictures for some reason.

Hey there little squidsy!
How ya doing?

OooOOooh, gonna feel me up with your tentacles eh?
MmmmMmmmmh, feels nice...

Ahem.
Looks pretty nice, good conversion, looks much nicer than the un-converted one, IMO, which is good.
Painting seems solid, but the skin seems underwhelming for such a large area, I'd definately prefer to see some more contrast on it (but the texture looks nice and horridly-attractive!).

Ditto with the sword, a little more light and dark wouldn't go amiss.

Good on ya buddy, generally very nice.

I right like it and this is coming from somone who hates the new keeper model. The tentacles look particularly nice and the squid head makes me smile.

On a more critical note the GSing on the sides of the head looks a little rushed.

I think the Keeper of secrets looks way better as a Squid-Daemon! That model looks good. I think it has character and the pose works well. That you have made one hand into tentacles to enable it to grip it's sword looks good. It also shows planning which helps things work out. I think you could try a little more work on the claws. At the moment they look like just one colour. You could add a little shading and make the spiky bits a bit lighter to give it more depth. I think that Squid-Daemon is cool, for how often do we get to look upon something like a Squid-Daemon. Well done.

All the major components are from the Keeper of Secrets box so it's pretty much the same size but I've found that the original Keeper is always disappointingly smaller than everyone expects. eg that right hand is the same size as an ogre's. The model is tiny compared to a BloodThirster

I'm happy with the skin but can't for the life of me figure out what to do with the sword. I'll wander the galleries and see what looks interesting.

I definitely agree with you on that. I patched the holes left by the large horns but the smaller ones somehow got forgotten.

Actually I had planned on sculpting a second fist on the grip but got lazy and defaulted to tentacles. It turned out well and compensated for my dropping plans to do Cthulhu/Zoidberg tentacles over the mouth and chin.

Thanks for the kind and not so kind words. I'll take it all into consideration.

I'd suggest working a darker colour (maybe a darkish blue?) up the flat length of the blade, starting darkest at the bottom, and again working it along the cutting edge, giving it more depth, and a heavy contrast.

Not sure if I've explained that terribly well, though.
