what you are looking to do is called stripping the paint. Generally it involves leaving the mini in a chemical (different depending the material the mini is made out of) for a few hours to a few days, then scrubbing it with a stiff bristled brush until most / all the paint comes off. For marines, i'd use a product called Simple Green in the states (not sur ethe name of a similar product in the UK), leave it in for 2 or 3 days, then take a bathroom or tile brush (buy at grocery store) and give them a good scrub. Once that's done, check for mold lines etc and repaint. Do a search for Stripping on these forums for a much more in depth guide, it'll likely have the names of the products you can use in the UK. |

Be careful with brake fluid, it's extremely hazardous! Simple green is easier and can be disposed in the kitchen sink. I've found that submerging the models for 1 day followed by a scrubbing with a toothbrush gets off 85% of the paint. Repeat once and you're ready to reprimer.
