How do you install static grass to your minis base? What is the easiest way, and if you have some pics for example? Thanks.

um....Put some glue on your base then dip the base into the pile of grass shake off the excess and your done. Pretty easy if you ask me.

Ya that might work if your looking to have most of it laying down. I guess I'll try a blob of glue and some tweezers. Thanks anyway.
I like to apply a few small patches of static grass as accents on top of a flocked base that is thoroughly dry (I don't like the look of a 100% static grass base). I put 2, 3, or 4 small drops of either PVA or superglue randomly on top of the flock. (PVA is perfectly fine & cheaper, but I am lazy & if the superglue is open & near my hand, that's what gets used!). Then I pinch some static grass between my forefinger & thumb. Holding the mini over my static grass container, I rub my finger & thumb together over it to sprinkle the grass onto the glued areas. I find this does a pretty good job of getting it to 'stand up'. Leave it alone & let it dry.

The staff at my GW recommend tapping the underside of the mini's base after applying static grass. It seems to work. Here's a poorly done ASCII for you.

^Tap tap tap on the bottom of the base.
Just dipping it into a pile of static grass does work and will make it stand up all you have to do is add a thin layer of pva (if you use to much the grass will stick down like a carpet) then dip it in. After this turn teh model upside down and shake.
First, I add watered down PVA to the areas where you want the grass with an old/un-needed paintbrush. Then either sprinkle the static grass on, or dip it if you want to cover the whole top of the base.
Oh, yeah...of course, turn it upside down and tap the base to remove the excess after sprinkling it on! (forgot that part!)

depends if you want flock or static grass
if you want flock paint ure base gobbo green an then paint p.v.a glue on top of the base then put it in the container with the flock an then shake it round, pick it out an then shake off any excess inside the flock container
if you want static grass bases lyk da ones on white dwarf an stuff then do this
glue p.v.a onto the top of ure base an cover it with sand. undercoat the sand in beastail brown an then hilight/drybrush the sand in bleached bone then put a small dollop of p.v.a on the base an put a small amound of static grass onto it
this is a little time consuming but looks great![]()

the best way i find to aply static grass is to pick a small bit of it in between your thumb and finger and just sprinkle it on , just make sure u sprinkle it on over the bag so you dont waste any if u miss , then tap the excess back into the bag , works a charm for me
