Well, my project's underway. Not sure how well I'm going, at the moment. I'm cleaning the model for assembly, and have bits all over the place and no real idea of how they're going to go together...

Well, not quite true. I know what pose I want. It will be getting it that will be the fun part. Well, that and the pinning everything I possibly can because of my fear it will fall apart in the post...

I've finall found just the chap for my project: a dwarf doomseeker. Fits with what my recipient wants and is of an army that I very rarely get to paint. Perfect!

I have finally decided on what i am doing for my model, although i am yet to purchase all of the parts, although i kinda need one part that is very tough to come buy, but may be able to put in substitute items.

Either way hopefully it will come up good. Definately a first for me and should push my abilities/what i have done before.

I have my idea all set out for my recipient, now I just need to get the correct parts as well. I'm a bit hesitant though; I know they do very, very good work and I'm a bit worried I won't be able to model AND paint as well as they can. It'll certainly be a challenge and it'll make me that much better of a painter and modeler. Overall though, it'll be fun to see how much they like it when they receive it.

Aside from those parts, I'm actually not used to painting anything like this and haven't for a while. I'll have to make a WIP for it along the way.

I doubt you'll have to really worry about that!

It'll certainly be a challenge and it'll make me that much better of a painter and modeler.

Practice make perfect.

Ah, is x-mas all about the giving or what!

I just ordered my mini, so he's in a box and on his way to me. It's a model I've wanted to paint for a while but not an army I play. Hopefully it will get here soon so I can start!

I have the model I'm doing picked out and the painting well on the way!

Its not a model from the persons army but its an awesome mini (I think anyway!)

I chose the model working from the point of view that if I opened the box would I be happy with it. I hope it will sit on their painting table or display case.

Now for a paint job that does the model justice.
