For you all....
YouTube - T'was the night before Christmas
Now... with that over. Fear not, I was going to use red and white text. But yet again the Yuletide looms before us, in waves of white and red - and chocolate - and green and blinking colours.
This is not some deranged rambling of mine (that's what my blog is for), oh no! Instead this is a secret Santa for the forum. But Kuffy, how do we take part? I hear you cry, let me tell you...
For the moment, this thread shall serve as a sign up thread. To sign up, please just make a post here saying something to the effect of "I'm in". An you'll be considered signed up from there on. Simple no? This sign up will be open for approximately a week and a half, closing on Sunday 25th October at about 2300 (11.00pm).
Once the sign up is done, there will be the deal of giving everyone a member to paint for. This could be done by Member B paints for Member A, Member C paints for Member B etc, but that wouldn't add much to the whole 'secret' aspect of it all. So, members will be assigned a member randomly.
From there you will be asked to provide myself with some information. You need to let me know via a PM, what kind of mini you would like and your mailing address (including name). This information shall be passed on to the painter who drew you and will give them an idea of what to paint for you. Please do not try to contact your member yourself - makes the whole secret santa aspect less fun. Also, in you PM you need to give me some details - your army(s), likes and dislikes and any relevant information that will help the painter. But please try not to give away who you are.
Then, when painted the painter ships off the mini to the given address and the receiving member opens it and is over joyed. All is happy and well.
Easy no?
Let me recap....
[I] Sign up ends - 11pm Sunday25th October
[II] PM Kuffy (ie, me) with following information:
- Name and mailing address
- Army(s)
- Likes and dislikes
- Non-GW - Y/N
- Any other information you think is helpful
[III] Paint mini.
[IV] Send mini.
Please remember when sending the mini, that the closer to December and Christmas it comes, the slower the post will be. Early is better than late, and late is better than never. If you cannot get it sent before Christmas, then afterwards should be fine. But its rude to be sent a mini and not send one in return, so please keep this in mind.
Other than that, I don't think there is much else to say, other than good luck and have a good time painting the mini!
Kuffy
