    LO's Painting Oath

    WELCOME PAINTING WARRIORS!!

Kneel my warriors and take your oath of the moment! These oaths are there to ensure your progress with your painting. Swearing an oath means you are committed to completing the said challenge. The oaths are there to act as a method of keeping you on track with your hobby progress.

How does it work? Every month you declare in the thread what oath you plan to commit (ie how many miniatures you plan to complete in that period), include a picture of the miniatures at that point (such as bare plastic, on sprues or undercoated etc) to show your starting point. You then have one month to fulfil your oath to succeed and show a completed picture of your miniatures.

There is no prize except the pride in completing an oath. However, should you complete six oaths you shall receive a lovely little award to show off your oaths. If you can push through and do the herculean an task and complete a mammoth twelve oaths you will get a different award and a small boost in rep for your efforts.

So, my friends. Are ready to take your oaths?

Ah, just the motivation I needed, here's the picture (although I'm not sure about it's quality).

I vow to paint 2 Bestigors, a Beastlord, a Wargor Battle Standard Bearer and 6 Dark Elf Corsairs this month.

I like this idea. I've been away from the forums for some time now (A year? More?) and I come back to find this - awesome, it is.

    So, to my Oath:

I vow to paint 30 Savage Orcs and 10 Boar Boyz, and finish units of 24 half-done orc boyz and 30 half-done night goblins by 2nd September
I'm at a tournament on 3rd September, so if I don't get them done, I'm in trouble...

Here's the finished half of my orc boy unit (you can see the other unfinished half hanging around near the back) with Grimgor Ironhide (who is a measly Black Orc hero to quell animosity for now)...

The wyvern is something else I'm working on alongside, and is a "maybe" for the tournament if I get time to complete it after everything else is finished (it might get its own oath later).

    Fun times!

Bah only just found this thread. Today I painted a Void Spirit for my Skorne Army.

For my pledge I will paint an Agoniser from the same range before the end of August. Thats not a massive pledge, but I'll be moving at the end of the month, so theres not much time with all the packing ect.

Im on a roll today. Its amazing what you can do when you have the day off and the house to yourself. Even if I am ment to be packing.....

    Here's the Agoniser. He's a little 'blue~er' then I wanted, but I like it.

Ok i'm hoping this is going to help me get stuck into all those unpainted models sitting in my cases! My Oaths will be a tad on the small side, the demands of work/family and fitting in battles don't leave me as much time as i'd like for this part of the hobby!!

    So here's my oath:

I aim to complete 3 Khorne Warriors of Chaos and 2 Sisters of Battle within the month. Also can painting/doing up Realm of Battle boards be included, because if so I am going to complete one section of that as well.

Pics will follow in the edit tonight/tomorrow!

EDIT: Well went to spray my models and found out I have no spray paint left to undercoat!!! SOOOO, I am swapping out the aforementioned models for these 8 shifty looking characters!
