    Hey everyone

I apologize for the poor camera/paint work, but here's what i've tried to convert my IG army into.

I got ideas for this paint scheme from playing too much Killzone and Company of Heroes (Knights Cross Holders Infantry if anyone is interested)

They're meant to be a Hive-City based army, using gas masks and auto-rifles in contrast to las-guns (mostly due to their silent and swift kind of tactics)

    any suggestions for improvements?

    I like them!
My only criticism is the eyes - I think it'd be better if you layered blazing orange, fiery orange and some sort of yellow (or whatever the current equivalents are) in gradually smaller circles to really make them look glowing!

My quick and dirty lens painting: 1. Paint a dark color. 2. Paint a lighter version of the color over half of the lens. 3. Paint a small white dot opposite of the lighter paint.

Also if they are a urban force, consider light dry brushing of gray and brown over the finished model. It will make it look like they are dirty from fighting in a urban enviroment. Focus on areas like, boots, knees, elbows.

Keep at it and enjoy your painting.

    thanks very much guys

yeah i'm finding lenses a fidgety task currently, usually open up with boltgun then overlap with blood red, but yeah, giving that dirty lens look would make it better

could i not just use a brown wash over the black wash to give it the 'dirty' look?

Yes you could use a brown wash to make the uniform and stuff look dirty. I just prefer dry brushing that on. It is a question of preference, not right or wrong.
