I start off with a completely black model. Then i paint white lighting-style lines on them (camo lines). After that i paint the areas between the lines Codex Grey (leaving a bit of black between the gray and white. The boots remain black. The skin is in two stages. First Dwarf flesh is applied evenly leaving any recesses slightly black. Finally i drybrush with Elf Flesh to get the skin slightly paler. Any leather parts (pouches, waterbottles, etc.) are painted Dark Flesh or Bestial Brown. Lasguns are black with metal pipings. And the small line on the bottom of the ammo cartridge is red (signifying live ammunition) Any Imperial Eagles are Shining Gold. Since i use alot of Catachan models i paint their bandannas Scab Red. And thats about it... |

Undercoated white. Two thin layers of Lifecolor US Olive Drab as a base coat. Wash with mixture of green/blue/brown inks thinned right down with an alcohol/flow enhancer mix. Drybrushed with Lifecolour US Olive Drab, GW Catachan Green and GW Camo Green. Ultra-thin black ink wash (again, thinned with alcohol/flow enhancer). Detailing using tech drawing pen. Oh, and this is for tanks and suchlike. Cheers Malc |

I basecoat with Bestial Brown, and then paint the uniforms with Desert Yellow and the skin with Bronzed Flesh, leaving the brown in the recesses of both. I also leave the boots and belts brown (I find black to be too harsh). I then paint the armour and guns Dark Angels green and highlight with Snot Green. Nice quick colour scheme, and it looks pretty cool!
