I paint my tau black w/ silver armor inked blacked, also purple on the shoulder. I think the metallic and the dark look on the Tau is awesome!!!

Firewarriors: Catachan green for the armor plates, jungle camo on the fatigues.
XV-8's: Catachan green, some panels white, black on those thin lines, machinery black and those things on the side of the arms and jetpacks which looks like bolts = tin bitz.

I think that metallic red might look ok. I have used both metallic blue and teal with sucess.
