Default My Hireling Wizard

This is my hireling wizard from my Dogs of War army; I think he's painted well but what do other people think?

Good work on not making him look all weird in the eyes.

thanks, instead of doing a white eye with a black dot I followed the advice in WD 310 and did a black dot and painted either side of where I wanted the pupil to be, which is sooo much easier.

Excellent! Great work on the highlighting and shading of the robes. The eyes look nice, but the skin could do with some highlights, as the ink is a bit messy, though, it does give a good "I've survived many-a-battle" look. ^_^

May I ask which army this is from?

thx, i'll get to work doing that, the model is 'Nicomedus' from the Mordheim range.

Please don't feel obliged to highlight the skin. It looks great as it is, it just looks a bit red-ish. You, like I do (if on the right model), may like the 'battle-dirty' look. ^_^

Good model. That's a brave color choice for the robes & hat but you pulled it off. IMO the skin & staff could use some highlighting but it's still well done.

Really cool. I like the highlights and the color scheme is simple but works.
