Make sure the nail polish has acetone in it.
    What difference does that make?

Acetone is the key ingredient that is most helpful in removing the paint. Other nail polish may not work as well...

Thanks for everyone's replies. I think most of the models I will end up just repainting some of them, and stripping others. The models I bought have some gold on them, and in most places, their gold is my dark green...so it shouldn't be any problems.

Once again, thanks for everyone's responses. It was really really helpful.
