Rep Power: 43 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Privateer Press: Hordes Trollbloods of Deepriver Kriel As some may know, I did another group called Deepstone Kriel a few months back. Oh, how I loved those guys, but they had to be sold. I think they’re in California now, doing their Trollish work on the tabletop… After I was parted with my beloved Trollbloods, I tried every faction at least once, and I really didn’t like any of them. Orboros is tricky and fast, but really not my style. They seemed to lack punch. So, back to Trollbloods I go. This one I want to keep, so away we go. My objective is simple: have a complete Trollblood collection with enough alternates to field a wide array of configurations at 750 points. So, keep your eyes peeled here, there’s a lot LOT more to come. The first four pieces are done: Blue Table Painting: Gallery List ![]() On the first set I wanted a Turquoise colored skin (one of my favorite colors). I attempted this the first time by trying multiple translucent layers, much like putting two layers of different colored stained glass on top of each other. It didn’t work. The skin ended up blue (though it did have a nice fleshy quality): Blue Table Painting: Gallery List (see various galleries for comments on conversions and colors) ![]() This time, I used the same colors more or less: Vallejo Gunmetal Grey (possibly my favorite metallic) with a mix of partially dried brown glaze (try ink) mixed with Vallejo Cavalry Brown for the rust effect. However, for the skin I just started with Vallejo Jade Green—the color I really wanted. I’m pleased this time. ![]() Madrak has a champion head, smoothed at the neck with green stuff. I really don’t like the collared head. I don’t use Madrak much anyway. I really don’t like the plaid tartan look, so I just stuck with earthtones. I tried a game with Grissel and I have no complaints. She can counter warcaster trickiness with Cacophony and can hold her own when the wave of troll meat hits the opposition! Use Hoof It to lock enemy Warcasters in combat and keep them close and out of commission with Cacophony. ![]() On the axes I kept it up with a favorite conversion: adding a Confrontation Goblin sword to the tip. It makes them look brutal. Shawn G.

Personally, I'm fond of the old blood on the axe in the 3rd image down. Eric
