Nice guide there -t. I found this tutorial on Wyrd Miniatures, which is solely about photoshopping your mini pics (hence the title). Photoshoping your mini pics! - Wyrd Miniatures I'm not meaning to take over your tutorial, because it really is good, the photo-taking tips are very helpful. Just for anyone wanting the gradient backgrounds, check the Wyrd tutorial

If I could just add onto this, I've found that using the ISO speed on you camera about 50-80 is best for these types of shots as well.
