Search turned out nothing, so I figured this would be the best place to put a new topic on THQs upcoming 40K strategy/tactical game for handhelds... Here're the links:
My initial drawback is this: C'mon, Marines and Chaos? Only way this could be worse is if it was Marines Vs Marines! Now, I do understand why SM are puffed everywhere from a marketing standpoint and I suppose that from a marketing standpoint Chaos is good as well, what with the new Codex and all. Of course, from a developers point-of-view it's good as well as you can use the same base units for both sides up to a point. But still, I'd have hoped for a more interesting opponent. Except that wouldn't help much as I'm probably still stuck playing the SM.
Heck, the Tyranids haven't been officially in a game since the ancient strategy game using the "panzer/fantasy/whatever General"-engine, and even then they were only playable in multiplayer.
Ah well, I hope the game does turn out good, as as much as I dislike SM I like good turn-based tactical games. =)
EDIT: Checked the links, they should be working? Might be my machine acting up and loading just because they're in the memory, I'll try again later to see what's up and if they don't link then (or more people say they're not working. No offense, Warrior47 ), I'll see what I can do to get them fixed.
EDIT2: Links work for me without hitches, both before and after the clean-up.

"The meat things seek to destroy ourselves. They hunt us as we hunt them but they are weak and uncertain. The inferior flesh will be entirely destroyed, all biomatter consumed. Ourselves will fight to the last, all weak flesh must be devoured."
Sounds kinda cool. I wonder if it's essentially a boardgame put onto the psp or ds or if their doing something else. (BTW, your first two links didn't work for me.) I also like the idea of the multi player. It sounds all in all like a cool game as long as the developers do it right. I also like to see 40k becoming popular enough that it is getting into more systems. Now I just need a DS, or a PSP
I agree with you that I'd like to see some of the more obscure races. DE, Inquisition and nids are all very flavorful races that would be great for DoW IMO and would be an easy way to characterise this game. I mean, nids are one of the power races in the fluff that consistantly shows itself to be a huge threat, but it hasn't been in a game yet.
Good find, I hadn't heard about this yet.

If I remember correctly its turn based but hey I could be wrong.. I got a ds and psp and am looking forward to this game
EB Games says December 3rd, that's not too bad.
they use marines vs. Chaos to keep it simple, so to keep the game fun, plus the DS and PSP don;t have the computing power for 11 races in the 40k world. i agree, someone should make a tyrandids, or mayb take half life 2 or something and make a mod to turn the zombies into gaunts, striders into hive tyrants, manhacks into rippers, etc.
the Only problem is that after Dawn of War, it might look sub-par:C.

Can they really use Tyranids though? I mean everyone has evil lizard bug aliens in their games these days. Space Elves are the only group that practically don't exist.

I came, I saw, I got a different type of Leman Russ.
