Should EA make a 40K mod for Battlefield 1942
SCREW THE INNOCENT
No, EA shouldn't do it.
What are it with your peeps that makes you think that the manufactures do the mods, cause last time I checked it was groups of persons that has created there own team that are working on their spare time to make the mod. Sure, it says valve on the new CS:CZ tho, they haven't done anything with it, except for letting the ones behind the mod CS use an old and outdated graphics engine without having to pay the license cost for it.
As for if their should be 40k mod for battlefield, yes. And aren't there already one?
Well said, Vindy. I think that they have made a (suitably lame) mod for bf1942, and have heard of a mod in the works for BFV, using landspeeders and the like. If there is a mod, which i think there is, then it's not worht playing, because I haven't played it.
If Knowledge is Power, then Genius is Tyranny.
Yes "they" should make a good 40k mod for 1942. "They" as in the hordes of awesome game designers that spend months and months working on a single skin for a game or those that spend months poring over the source code for games tweaking it just a bit to create an entirely different game. Anything produced by the companies (EA games) would be called an expansion pack. And I would settle for a 40k expansion or mod.
I just cant help but imagine some leman russ tanks thundering across the desert in El Amen blowing the snot out of some ork war trucks only to get blasted by a well placed shot from a fighta-boma. That in turn is blasted out of the sky by a hydra flack cannon, witch is in turn blown up by a tank busta. Ohh the carnage.
As another thing, EA hasn't done a thing when it comes to programing, desidn, modeling or skins in BF, you should ask the people at DICE. But they are currently busy working on BF2
