Well its not really a pc problem as such, but its to do with the plug.
Basically, yesterday the fuse went in my PC plug, and now its done it again this morning.
Two times in two days? plus once more in March.
Im taking it as a sign my PC is old? but is it dangerous to continue such excessive use of my PC as it is now?
Ta for any help =^.^=
Yea, the plug, where the fuse goes. The thing that goes into the socket on the wall.
Depends where you are really, as this is a British plug, as opposed to a US or European one.
Hm...fuses in your plugs, eh? How old is the fuse and what amperage is it?
I am assuming that it is a circuit breaker, not a pure fuse, meaning that all you have to do is throw the switch back (you do not have to replace anything) or that it automatically resets, as opposed to a real fuse which burns out and needs to be replaced (I think I am getting this right, doing it from memory...).
As long as there is a fuse or something blowing then things are probably not dangerous...physically...to you. The actual current draw of a computer can depend on age, but most newer computers consume significantly more power than older computers.
The fuse in the plug is just sitting between the wall and the box, right? Not powering other things, like the monitor or something?

I think it may be ok now...The actual plug that goes into the Tower was slightly loose, so I just made sure it was fully in. It hasn't gone since *Touch wood*
It wasn't the circuit breaker, they only tend to go when the whole house goes.
As for the pkug, aye its in an extension plug that has spaces for for 5 plugs. The fuses themselves were fairly new so I don't see a problem there. And I don't think there was too much power going through the extension, as the monitor, printer, and speakers were ok.
As I said, Im hoping this loose Tower plug it is, as I only have one 5A fuse left, to my five 13A and 5 3A fuses lol
Right, its started again.
this time though, I do think I may have found the problem, and I think that problem is the PC Towers power unit....I mean it is an old PC.
So If Im not on for a few days, then you know why, and that I have finally run out, of 5 amp fuses =;_;=
