Welcome to Librarium Online!
I have finally decided to use TP7 as my programming language of choice for the exam, mainly because
1. Pascal is simple and
2. The programs one has to write at the test are going to be bog-simple.
Can anybody direct me to some tutorials and a compiler? Thanks.
Maybe I am missing somethign really obvious, but what exam?
PASCAL...? Language of choice? You sure...? I have not touched PASCAL in years, but when I moved on from it to C++ (PASCAL was the first upper level language I learned), it just...it makes life easier. Far more powerful and capable (same is true of C). Then again it may be useful for getting the thought processes down (the most important part of programming in my opinion) to learn on PASCAL at first...I do not really remember it too much. To be fair, I believe it was just PASCAL that I learned, not Turbo Pascal.
Like I said, it has been a while.
Anyway, I did a little googling around, and it would seem that Borland is offering their Turbo Pascal compiler for free. That is pretty cheap.
Good luck with the programming!

War is a very simple thing, and the determining characteristics are self-confidence, speed, and audacity. None of these things can ever be perfect, but they can be good."

Maturity exams here... we had to choose from some subjects, and I chose computers. There will be a few programming-related tasks, and Pascal was one of the languages I could choose.
