Welcome to Librarium Online!
I absolutely love many of the avatars members of this forum use. Was interested in knowing what programs or techniques they use to create them? For example, Wickedrock has a movie clip as his avatar, while others have animated ones. Any pointers would be appreciated.
a guy called mead used to draw some . he did mine . im currently adapting mine into colour
Doing an Avatar like mine is not hard. Just a few bitmaps strung together into a gif file.
I used Aesop gif maker, it's pretty simple and fool proof, but there are other more powerful gif makers out there. There are also programs that can convert mpg files to gif too.
The next trick is finding somewhere to upload it to so you can link it.
Remember it has to be smaller than 96x96 or it gets interpolated.
The ones made by mead are great avatars, but you guys who use them should resize them into 96x96 or less because having larger avatars dont look good because the forum force their size down and makes the pencil lines hard to see
Blackhat's new blog network for terrain crafters!
Could you tell me where can I get this one? I've been using GIFmerge when I needed, but it's pretty annoying so to say.I used Aesop gif maker, it's pretty simple and fool proof, but there are other more powerful gif makers out there.
Appreciate everyone's comments. I'll be picking up a copy of Aesop gif maker soonest. BTW, flippantremark, your avatar is definitely in the Top 5. Thanks.
