I do think that they should have stayed with Xenon.

this is ridiculus.... The x-box is already outdated when it hasn't even been released yet, I'm mean look at the graphics card, you can easily buy a card and overclock it for more preformance than the X-box 360 (and BTW what a ridiculus name!)

blah I hate consoles they are so mainstream....

Why did they go with wireless controlers?? are the batteries rechargable? because if not I will have to buy mass amounts of them to support my gaming hours.

yes but im not sure if you plug into the console or mains to recharge
mains could get annoying i mean youd have to go find 4 sockets and remember where you put them

Looks pretty much the same as the old xbox to me, except they took the cords off the controllers.

Oh and a removable decorative faceplate. Wow.

Sorry, I'm just bitter coz I only just got an xbox and now all the wankers at my work and uni are going to be all like "Why have you only got an xbox? (insert superior smirk), why don't you get a 360?"

It's not like the xbox has such a huge selection of games anyway, which is what it's all about. Now they'll all be 360 games. Well, at least for the next 3 years before they release xboxkickflipMctwist720.

heh im not gunna flame the name : Xbox 360.

Not the best, but its better than XBOX 2, sounding cheesey like ps2.

plus go to www.xbox.com they will tell you why they choosed that name.. although not the definite true reason XD.

Eh but it is still pretty strong enough.
    You see the game titles?

    Quake 4
    Call of Duty 2
    Perfect dark
    Unreal tournament 2007
    Halo 3
Elderscrolls 4(?): Oblivion - Very solid open rpg.

Understanding the new quake/unreal and such.. graphic engines.. i'd say its quite strong in a sense already.

Free xbox live, i think thats cool.

I do believe the wireless controllers are rechargeable (?)

I dont know if these specs are gold or officially confirmed.. found it from a site XD, but i believe it is pretty close.

although it doesnt need to top graphics to own does it.. as seen in ps2 o.O

i believe microsoft has pulled it off IMO. releasing it way before others, and in the holidays, who else is gunna compete in the holidays? lol, plus launching 4-5 solid FPS shooters, it has my buy already.

Changabeable faceplate, hey come on some people like to feel 'customizable' lol.

Looks like an xbox? ?? There is an incredible size difference, its smaller .

I only hope that its backward compatible with the original xbox games. I hate it when I just get an xbox, and then suddenly they say that the 360's coming out 0_o

Yeah but you'd only know that if you read alot of mags and stuff. Plenty of people (like me) have an xbox but don't play much and aren't into the whole gaming thing. I just bought it for GTA and Fable and coz it plays DVDs. I only found out there was a frickin new one when I saw pictures on the news a couple of days ago.

I hope it's backwards compatible too. If not there's no way in HELL I'm ever buying one. They have enough of my money already, I'll stick with the old xbox. I still play my PS1 and SNES for God's sake they are just as fun as my xbox, if not more so. How fun a game is doesn't have much to do with how advanced it is IMO.

Oh well look on the bright side, maybe the cost of the games'll go down (yeah, right)
