I'm currently playing "Dawn of War".
I like the game a lot. LOVE playing the Orks! But, there are a few things about it that I find disappointing - things that could have easily been changed before its release. It makes me wish I had been on the team that tested it.
Here is my biggest complaint:
All enemy units disappear when victory conditions are met.
For example, if you are playing with the victory condition of "Destroy HQ" - as soon as you destroy the other guy's HQ, all his remaining units (buildings, soldiers, weapons, etc...) just vanish! I find this annoying for two reasons: First it is unrealistic. Second it makes the victory seem "empty". I tried to explain the "emptiness" problem to my wife (who is not a gamer) like this... "It would be like if you had a birthday party where, as soon as you blew out the candles, everyone just disappeared!" To use a romantic analogy - there is no "afterglow" no "cuddle time" with this game. It's just "wam-bam thank you mama" and then you are just left all alone! ('sniff') What the game should do is give you the option of "mopping up" if you feel like it. Does anyone else feel this way or am I just weird? Be nice.

Turn all victory conditions save annihilate off.
I know, but I like playing HQ.... and when you play multi-player that can be rather annoying. lets face it - in a 4 player game, if 1 player is compleately distroyed... then the game is pritty much over. It might be better if AI would take over the dead players remaining units rather then blowing them up ... that way his partner would have a chance.
