Welcome to Librarium Online!
This past christmas i got a new video card. i put it in, installed it blah blah blah. Then my CD drives stopped working. My computer acknowledges that they're there, but when i put in a CD nothing happens. I thought i knocked some cables loose when i put in the video card, but i checked and everything right. has anyone had this problem?
Your cd drive reader is probably just dead... i'd just go out and... buy a cheap one, if you are just using it to read discs. =P should cost only 15-20$
About twice that quota.
Wouldn't it be more future-savy to buy a DVD recorder instead?
I'd would recommened to get a DVD-recorder, they're not that much more expensive and the problem with an good ol' CD-Recorder are that they can't read DVDs and more and more software are released on that medium, and all DVD-r I've seen so far supports to burn both DVDs and CDs.
Comp USA should have some cool stuff, thats where I got mine, I've got two cd drives,
One with a 12x read/write capability, I'll have to ask my dad how much it cost since he
got it for me.
