i know this isn't the right place for this but i don't know where to put it, but anyway:
does anyone know if there is a dawn of war version for mac? also maybe an army builder for mac? thanks.
Well, if your mac is fairly new, you should be able to mod it and run windows programs. That or you can buy windows if the mac has in intel chip, and run windows instead of OS.
Thats the theory anyway, how you do that, im not sure - but i know it can be done, although im not sure how legal that process is - buying windows and installing it is of course the surest bet - but expensive, on the bright side, if the computer is intel based, then windows will run it faster, as mac under clocks its intels, and windows runs at designed speed, by default.
Not sure about DoW, but doesn't The Forge come in a Mac version?
If not, well, I'm no OSX expert, but if it's UNIX-based, I imagine some sort of emulator (i.e. Wine) would work. Probably won't run DoW so well, but The Forge oughta be a piece of cake, even the Windows version.
I run a Mac and haven't had any problems with Army Builder using Virtual PC (I've got a 1.5 year old PowerMac G5, from before they started using Intel processors).
Dawn of War, however, wouldn't run through Virtual PC. If I remember correctly there was a problem with DirectX.
Just get one of the new Macs with the intel chipset. It can run either OS, (Tiger/Lepord or XP/Vista). Your programs will run without a hitch just like you're running them on a PC.
