In the begining the Farseer is ONTOP of a incapacitated marine? Sure there was a battle but that never happened in the game!

Banshees charge and what do they do? Just charge towards them without firing a single
shot??

No grenades were thrown!

Non of the tac marines used their oversized knives from dark crusade.....

Devestator marine all on his own with no support?

The warpspider teleported on a rock? wth? in the game thats not counted as terrain you can walk on!

Then the tyranid lictor shows up behind the sergeant and knocks his weapon out of his hand.....thats not an action i remember you could do in the game....!

Yes i'm comparing it to the game! not table top!

it's a cinematic... It's meant to showcase what a battle between the two forces would look like... Most of the things are what happens in the fluff... Lighten up it's only a video

I agree, if every game was to be measured up to it's opening cinematic, this fun past time would long be dead. Just be in awe of the SMurfs tearing down some Eldar, be surprised by the WTFBBQ Tyranids, and enjoy the hard work they put into the actual game.

I don't think I ever want my Warp Spider jumping on a rock anyways, just makes him a big, sexy target.

Sure was a load of bull, I don't know how the marines lasted that long. And how can not wearing a helmet PREVENT you from being electro-brain shocked to death

But seriously, it's a video game cinematic, a bunch of games have them and they RARELY show only what you can do in the game. Thats not the point. The cinematic is there for the awesomeness factor. I'm pretty sure you can't play chess in Age of Empires 2 but thats in the cinematic. I don't think you can fight in real-time in any Final Fantasy games but thats in the cinematic.

Soon as the furioso smashed through the wall and started munching on them eldar. I was reenacting the same thing to my budgie only not the smashing its head into the wall and burning it.
The intros to both DOWs are just some of the most intros ever. Makes you think why they couldnt to a full length film like that, eh GAMESWORKSHOP?!?!

Like final fantasy advent children and that turned out perfect

True, but there is an awful lot of talking in the campaign. Also, the little chat between the Farseer and Tarkus ended in a similar fashion.

The Banshees were using their banshee howl special ability (the name eludes me) and the squad was suppressed, therefore no shooting. Plus, 3 marines, one toting a Heavy Bolter, thats a devastator squad in the game NOT a tactical squad and Devastators have a set-up time.

Devastators don't get grenades in DOW2.

His 2 squad mates were dead, one from the ranger the other from a Banshee. The squad separated (as they do in game, which is incredibly annoying) and he was all that was left.

Nope, he teleported into "Heavy Cover" :p.

True, but your commander doesn't use his gun in close combat anyway so not really an issue.

But all of this is beside the point, it's a cinematic and is only there to get you psyched about the game and to be totally awesome. It succeeds at both.
