I only ever tried one of the LotR games, and whilst kinda fun, I lost interest quickly. Those games tend to be produced quickly and tend to provide only short term entertainment.

ARMA II I have been considering getting myself. It can be quite demanding on PC once you start putting the graphics up I've read. If you're a fan of realism i.e. One shot kills (ever play any of Tom Clancy's games?) then this game is definately for you. I personally love games like that, where you don't have to pump 50 bullets into someone before they die. Mind you, one bullet is usually enough to kill you, the player, as well.

xanaq: have you chosen any games yet? I think you should just go with games you have listed and If you dont like them just trade them in again thats what i useally do.

The games i would recommand are the ones you already have. I would recommend call of duty 5 modern warefare its really decent game but thats your call.

Please let me know what Dragon Age: Origins is like, I am looking at buying it, but you can only trust reviews so far (although metascore of 90 is a pretty good indication). Can you compare it to any games? How does it rate against those? Voice acting? Graphics?

It is a pretty good game. It's got all you'd expect from a RPG, and the acting and plot are very good. There's a lot to it, with plenty of open-ended actions (Wake up the assassin that you just take down? Nah, just slit his throat).

You have to be very tactical with the battles - just throwing your warriors into combat generally gets them killed fairly quickly (should you be attacked from the rear the enemy gets a damage bonus).

If you like fantasy RPGs, go for it.

Having an army and not owning a rulebook is like owning a car with no steering wheel.

Ok. I love Dragon Age: Origins, even though it does get hard.

Arma II i suck at, its annoying. I got annoyed on the firing range and shot the stupid instructer in the chest. I was aiming for the face!

I`ll try the other game tomorow.
