    Resident Evil 4

I haven't seen any threads on Resident Evil 4, which I think is blasphemy, a game such as this deserves a thread. I have recently beaten it on the Gamecube, and I must say, it is incredible. The graphics are excellent for the GC, the plot is interesting, and, of course, you play as Leon. The special enemies ( Regenerators, Dr. Salvador, Iron Maidens) always mess with my mind. It is extremely atmospheric, the music is perfect. I often get out my gun because I hear my own footsteps. I was just wondering about other's thoughts and experiences with this game.

It was way too easy for me personally, as I make it a point to beat every resident evil in under 2 hours. That being said, it was an incredible, action packed ride, and the challenge mode where you could play as hunk and wesker was some of the most fun i've ever had playing a video game. It really is one of the best games ever made, and on par with any resident evil.

Ask yourself why in the world would you trust a win loss record? Playing them yourself is the only way to tell.

The true joy in the game is playing down to the last model, no matter the odds.

Yeah, the Mercenaries is my favorite mode. Just running into close combat with Wesker, HUNK, or Krauser, and letting the cinematical-esque close combat attacks unfold is quite satisfying. I especially like Wesker's Chikyo Chagi attack:w00t: .

Wesker has a great attack, but I can't express the joy I felt at watching hunk turn a chainsaw woman's head around backwards. That mode got me so pumped up I just had to finish everything about that game.

I had a great time playing that game, and then managed to delete my saved file. I was so disappointed, I haven't managed to build myself up to finish it again.........

I thought it was an incredible game. Spooky, but not scary. Suspensful, but not to the point where you are up all night with every light on and baseball bat in hand.

Imaginative while still keeping true to the Resident Evil style.

5 of 5 in my book.

I thought this game was great. The changes to the way the game plays, carrying items, targeting and so on, I think it was a change for the better. The new elements such as dodging and the merchant worked well.

The enemies the ganados, were a fun replacement to zombies, even though I love zombies giving them a well deserved rest was long overdue. Other enemies particularly the regenerators and the various chainsaw maniacs were not invicible but still a challenge and they freaked me out. I like that scary enemies that are fun, challenging and freaky but not impossible to beat ae the best.

The game alco included lots of little extras in the gameplay. Things like finding the treasure items and combining them for more money and finding, buying or upgrading weapons kept the game interesting and prevented it being purely about find the bad guy and shoot him. 10/10 is my score.

I liked this game alot. I thought it was one of the best ever. Has anyone been able to master the Target Practice tho? I had the worst time trying to beat that(ok, I still haven't beat it yet.) I think that it is one of the best RE's out there. Definitely a % out of 5 stars!

There are a few tricks to mastering target practice. First I choose the pistol in the rapid-firing section, I find it's the quickest and easiest to master. The sniper rifle is too easy, no skill needed and it's too slow.

Position yourself in a good spot in the firing range. You want to be able to see the whole area. You can be able to choose a better spot by edging to the bell you ring to start, the problem can sometimes be you will be to close.

Shoot the targets in the head you will get more points. Also shoot the female targets, well I think they're female that is not the ones that look like the bald guy. If you shoot them in the head you get more points than usual.
There is also right on the back wall of the shooting range, a panel that will open. When it opens you should see what looks like a little light bulb moving along the top. Shoot it, it is worth alot of points.

As you progress and get more bottle caps scoring enough points to get the remaining few will be hard. What you can do to get them is just try to hit every target. Try to hit them in the head if possible but only aim the little light bulb in the back if you haven't any other targets. Also when a target appears holding a stick of dynamite shoot the dynamite not the guy holding it and it will explode destroying all the targets that are visible in the shooting range. Oh and when I say hit all the targets I don't mean you should hit Ashley, though that's probably obvious.

Well I hope that helps you out. Also for shooting all the targets and completing a row of bottle caps the merchant will give you some cash when you go to collect any bottle caps you have won.:w00t:
