does any body know any good forums for them.
i like the idea of manipulating terrain with magic, as well the idea of the shifting stones. sounds like a lot of fun.
not a huge fan of the war beast minnys but i have some of the rackum wolfen i could use for warpwolves and i might be able to scratch build the woodwatcher and woodwarden, i do like the modles for most of the units though.
could anybody tell me about this faction, any info would be grate, i don't know much about the game outher than the quick start rules.
NO!! You can't have them!!! They're MINE!!!
Oh wait, your not Lost Nemesis! Disregard the previouse...
Why not check out the Privateer Press Forum? I'm shure its fairly active Also, you could ask -t about it as he collects the little blighters (but not Lost Nemesis, he's just an imposter >.<) If you haven't checked it out already heres the Privateer Press Fourm, and just for good measure the Hordes Home Page.
I think the models will grow on you over time. Hell, originally I thought 'jacks were funny looking, and not that cool, but there was a great group of gamers that had just converted over to Warmachine so I came along for the ride just for fun. Now I can't get enough of the Warjacks!!! I think Circle has some amazing models (especially the units), however I'm starting to warm up to the Legion (I just have to get around those blighted infantry and I'd be converted). Anyways enough of my rambleings!
Check out the free rules on the Hordes home page. They give you a basic look at the game and its fundamental principles. If you like it, get the Circle Orboros warpack. Gives you everything you need to start playing and learning the game (including rules for the game).
As for a basic overview of the Circle, well they excel at speed and hitting at their own terms. Most of their warriors and 'beasts arn't very tough but very fast and hard to hit instead so you gotta play your strengths.
Warpack battles are the best way to learn the game so I recommend them.
Okay, the Circle of Oroboros is basically a faction dedicated to preserving the balance in nature. Their ethos is a bit tricky. Basically, they believe that the Devourer Wurm (Oroboros) is fighting Menoth (the god worshipped by the Protectorate of Menoth in Warmachine) in some higher plane of existence and that if he should ever win, he will return to the Caen and bring about the end of the world. They walk a tricky tightrope because they cannot allow civilisation to spread too far or else the Devourer Wurm will return to correct said balance of nature by wiping out everything. At the same time, they can't destroy civilisation entirely or else the Devourer Wurm will become powerful enough to destroy Menoth and then return to the Caen anyway. To this end, they're all a bunch of militant tree-hugging hippy druids. That's all I know.
Yeah that pretty much sums it up, altough it should be noted that they arn't the archetypical 'good' bunch of druids either. More slev-serving and have little care for the lives of others. They are also, along with the Trollbloods, the second faction in Hordes with a pretty loose organisation and with no central government to dictate how resources should be divided and such.
At Gen Con last summer my wife went off to play a Hordes demo and came back with $100 worth of Circle minis. She swears by them! I'm a Legion player myself.
