Privateer Press got sick of having people speculate and cry doom all the time, so they went ahead and let the cat out of the bag.
You can get the full rulebook and all of the stat cards for Mark II from privateerpress.com (they're two PDFs, so take a good look).
Significant changes since the field test include, but are not limited to:
No more screening rules.
Gun Mages (of all kind) now have a 10" range
Magnus the Traitor can upkeep spells on his 'jacks for free, and he has snipe
The Cephalax Overlords can take over enemy models and make them make one melee attack (no command check). A similar spell has replaced Denegra's Dark Seduction
We still do not have any word on the Tier system being used for non-Iosan factions, and we do not have any of the new releases that will be revealed in the army books.
But the full rulebook for download? That's pretty sweet.
I've been mulling over these for a few days now...kudos to PP and Matt Wilson for having the stones to release the rules like this. I'm looking forward to actually getting a game or two in.
Yeah, there are a lot of little things gone.
I noticed that they altered pVlad such that he cannot cast both Signs and Portents and Blood of Kings in the same activation.
Oh, and pHaley's Temporal Barrier costs 4 again, but is still at its reduced effectiveness.
I bet she's still a viable 'caster.
I'm excited to try the rules out, though. I'd like to know if there's any way to get these printed up in card format so that I can use them on the table.
