I have finally caught the Warmachine bug, and have decided on Cygnar. Why? Because I haven't painted a blue army, and I don't have a 'good guys' army, so it fixes both problems.
After reading a bunch of posts, here is my plan for the army that will teach me the game - It's not complete.
25-35points (Which is more common?)
~Black 13th Gun Mage group
Now, at this point I don't know what else to get. Any ideas??
with pStriker i would seriosly recomend taking longgunners since they will beifit form snipe
striker also likes storm knights (all veriants)
I would suggest dropping some of the 'jacks out of your list. The Hunter+Journeyman combo is quite effective, but with a starting army I'd suggest more troops. A Lancer and Ironclad are a solid 'jack core for Cygnar, and if you could make the addition of Longunners and some melee troopers (sword knights, storm blades, precusor knights ect.) it will make your force much more effective by adding some bodies and flexibility to your list.
i would personly go with a charger insted of a lancer since they are made of win
The blue is looking really nice, even though I find red a much nicer colourI only suggest the Lancer as Arc Nodes are generally a big deal in games. It opens up a number of flexibilities with earthquake and the offensive spell at Strykers disposal, and is a much more resilient 'jack with a high DEF and a shield for respectable ARM. Don't get me wrong though, at higher pt values or different builds the Charger is a cheap and effective light.Originally Posted by samwise
fair does ive prity much stoped using striker now i have a basic grasp of the rules and have swiched to epic nemo and the lancer hasnt realy helps so i tend to hammersmiths (melee beet stick for the win)
No. And haven't painted anything other than what's all ready photographed. (I do not play with unpainted minis... A character flaw, I guess... )
That said, I did get the miniatures for the Journeyman Warcaster, Squire, and Black 13th squad. Nice sculpts!
I still need some 'regular' troops. I'm leaning towards Stormblades or Precursor Knights.
