I'm just getting into warmachine. And of all the potential castes and creeds etc. Menoth stuck out of the crowd the most. And i need a little help. Not knowing too much about the game, and not really having side by side access to many players i need a little help.
I REALLY wanna run Heirach Severius as my warcaster. And i need to run the Avatar (merely out of principle) With a side group of maybe choirs, vassals and exemplars. But i'd like a little mentoring on tactics, how i should use them etc. As well as actual army construction.
PM me or reply.
I have played against menoth alot, and their tactic is getting as many as possible of their hard hitters into CC with the opponent. They often use screens zealots to do this.
For eSeverius you will need at least 1 arch node, because he himself is not to be on the front line, and even his ranged attack can be sent through arcnode.
The Avatar is pretty much going to take care of itself, and you wont be able to afford many more heavies in small games.
You might want some zealots to screen all of this.
ESeverius is geared towards controlling and denying the opponent charges and movement while you close for the kill.
Hope this was of some help

Hoo boy, you sure picked a tricky caster for your first. eSevvy is regarded among the Protectorate players as a rather non-beginner friendly caster, but I'll do what I can to assist. As I've never played with eSevvy myself -I prefer Grand Scrutator Severius (aka pSevvy)- I'll have to direct you to a source that contains a rather well-written (if LONG) tactica about the Hierarch: Privateer Press Forums' Tactica for eSevvy
I hope that helps!
Thanks a lot to the both of you. this helped a lot.
