Hi I want to get into Warmachine, I've wanted to for years but I never have been able to because of the cost. I was hoping to get a small but easily workable army for 200$ or less. Which army has the most plastic models right now?
Actually you will find the Metals are less expensive than the plastics.
I got my 35 pt Khador army (about 1500 pts in warhammer terms) for $250 Australian plus all the super amounts of postage.
The most expensive army you will find is Trollbloods. but everyone else is about the same.
Depending on what army you want to play you can get 15 pts (which is a workable game) for about $75, which is the starter box and 1 unit of something of your choice
Wash: This landing is gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: [deadpan] Oh God, oh God, we're all going to die?
More than likely for Warmachine if you get a boxed starter set you should be able to get your entire force up to a 35 point level in your budget. Buy the main ruolebook- it has everything you need to play the game including the rules for quite a few units/Warcasters/solos/Warjacks of the four main factions. When you expand your army from the starter box limit yourself to choosing from the units/Warcasters/solos/Warjacks which are i the main book so you don't need to buy the Faction book just yet. If the game really takes off for you then you can get that book later.
