Welcome to Librarium Online!
I can't get over how cool the WM figs are, I reckon they look far better for 40k Inq. retinues than the GW figs. The Cryx combat thralls would be awesome combat servitors, and I don't know if anyone has noticed but GW sculptors suck at female figs. Sorscha would be acool Inquisitor, and the Widowmaker captain would be an awesome Vindicare Assassin. Damn the pesky GW only rule, it makes my Witch Hunters army look so much worse than it could. Oh well I guess money rules all...
Anyway the point of this post is this... is war machine worth it? 40k costs so much already, I don't know if I should bother. How does it play compared to 40k? Also, I live in Australia and the guy who said the models are cheap must not be from Oz coz they seem pretty pricey to me... How many will I need?
I've been looking at them and I think the mercenaries look pretty rad, and no one seems to play em either. Hopefully this is not because they suck.
Um, don't worry I just went to the website and they have a download of quickstart rules so I could see how it works. Sorry bout that.
Looks like a cool game, and if a battleforce box is pretty much a complete army then it's good value for money too, and easy to transport your little dudes around...
Yeah the battleforce is a 300 point army all you need is 1 unit ofinfantry and youre set.
Yeah, it's pretty well playable straight out of the box, assuming you have an opponent. That's been my biggest problem with starting WM. Both of my LGSs claim to have hearty contingents of WM players, it's the actually meeting them that I've not yet been able to do.
Dont buy the starter set. Buy the PrIME rule book first, then make an armly list for 500 points or 300 points and then go and buy it. Look online, and if you need any help, ill be glad to help. I play Khador, but i know about menoth and cygnar too, cyrx are just creepy.
