Been thinking of playing privateer press for a while and was given a cygnar force and love skorn so i had to get the starter and a agonizer. Wondering if i can get some useful tips and tricks for either or both.
Thank you.

Just started up Skorne. I've got to say that I'm not a fan of the starter - yeah, the Cyclops is good, but the Titans are so much better. Likewise, I think that most people prefer the Cetratus over the Arcuarii, just on basis of cost. Also, grab yourself some Paingivers - they're practically mandatory for Skorne, they do a LOT for us.
I've been running a 35pt Xerxis list - basically
Tyrant Xerxis
6 Cataphract Cetratus
10 Nihilators
3 Paingivers
Titan Sentry
Cyclops Shaman
Void Spirit
Aptimus Marketh
Basically, my Cetratus are a brick house, and with Xerxis' order I can move anything in my army right through the guys without having to worry about trampling them. There's a trick that I've been shown here on LO for the Nihilators - most people think they're bad because in combat they might end up attacking eachother. Send in a few at a time. Chances are good that your opponent will wipe them out, but that's fine - you still have the rest of your unit chilling outside of the combat, preferably with the leader so that if you survive, you just retreat from the combat (rather than the reserves being forced to pile in).
So I keep my Cyclops in the rear sniping stuff with his Ghostshot, while my Cataphracts steamroll through my opponent. I have 3 'lockers' in the army thanks to the Cyclops' and Xerxis being able to use the Sentry's ability, which means that once something is stuck on my lines, I can force it to stay there (another trick, locking from opposite sides means they can't advance/charge) while I beat it to death. Locker also keeps my opponent from trying to maneuver around my army - if he tries to hit my Cataphracts from an odd angle, I can pull him onto the Sentry/Xerxis/Cyclops. Cats can totally screw up 'jacks, and Xerxis is a freakin' pile-driver in his own right. One of my opponents fielded one of the giant new models for his Cygnar, and a combined charge from Xerxis and the Cats obliterated it. The Nihilators and Spirit are just there to keep the chaff away from me, so that I can cut through to the objectives/caster and take control.
For Cygnar (the other army I thought of starting - seems we're a lot alike) I planned to run a StormKnight list. You can cheat and use the command and special weapons to get your Stormblades up to 11 guys for 11 points, which is just dirty. They'll wreck too, getting to shoot before they attack. It helps to keep one of the gun-focused Casters around them though, because you need a way to boost range. I was going that route because I didn't want to gunline, which is what Cygnar is really good at. No matter what, you end up with an army that excels at short-ranged firefights, but too many players just use Trenchers and Haley to blow holes in their enemy before they even get into range. There's no fun in that.
I am not offering any comments regarding the Banner of the World Dragon at this time. For my thoughts on the situation, please refer to the following scene from vintage film: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYiv76qRCkA

You get 4 not 3 paingivers in a min unit.
