    Im Officially A Warmachine Player!

Almost, havent played an actual game yet.

    Heres what I bought today:

    -Warmachine Rulebook
    -Escalation Rulebook

    -Lt. Allister Caine (Cygnar Warcaster)
    -Trencher Chaingun (Cygnar Weapon Crew)
    -Defender (Cygnar Heavy Warjack)
    -Nomad (Mercenary Heavy Warjack)

I beleive this gives me a 299 point battlegroup. Im planning on doing a Gray/Yellow (possibly Gray/Red) scheme very similar to the "alternate paint scheme" on page 101 in the Escalation book.

I have come up with some questions though, and I was hoping someone could clear them up for me. The only two I can remember at the moment are:

Can one Warcaster have an unlimited number of 'jacks under his control?

Do I need to buy a "Stat Card" deck?

you dont need the stat card deck, and yes, one caster to as many jacks as you want, but saddly, a cygnar caster cant use a merc. jack (which makes no sense to me)

Crap! Does it say that somewhere in the rules that I missed??

Some of the Merc's specifically say they wont work for Cygnar, so I assumed that meant that everyone else would... wish I hadnt glued that Nomad together.

EDIT: Page 19 in the Escalation book, got it. Whats really crumby is that there are no character jack martial mercs listed, only full fledged warcasters or an entire unit of 'dogs lead by Sam. Ill probably just buy another Cygnar 'Jack tomorrow...

Heres some ideas of what to get next:
    Unit of trenchers (a must)
    Gun mages (very cool unit)
    Ironclad
Light warjacks (definatley get the hunter)

As for the colour scheme, should look great, as thats the one i've used.

trenchers are good, i prefer long gunners

gun mages are a nuisance unit, they are good, but not a godsend

the ironclad is a solid jack, more accurate and faster then the centurion, but i think the centurion is better

sentinal is ok, just not great, and same with the charger, the lancer is amazeing

I had planned on getting some Trenchers once I get what I have now painted. Even if they werent a great unit, I love their similarities to the 40k Imperial Guard. I think I am going to become a big fan of troop units in Warmachine.

I did purchase a Centurion, so Ill try and get that together soon before I buy some light 'jacks (AND PLAY A REAL GAME!)

Im not sure which "base" you are talking about.

If you get the "Cygnar Troop Tokens" set, it comes with little tokens that say "Dug In" so you can label which units are dug in on the board.

If you are looking for some terrain pieces to play with, try making some low wall pieces that you models can hide behind and use for cover.
