i have been painting for a while now, but just painting gaunts has started to take a long time. Sometimes i start to drift off and give myself excuses just to stop painting. Unfortunately i use a swarm army so it will take a long time the way i am going here. Any help with painting quickly and neatly would be great.
The Great Plague meets The Devourer of The Galaxy. What does that make us?
heh, painting quickly and neatly.. that's a bit of an oxymoron. There are several techniques that can be used as shortcuts. These include: dipping, washing/inking etc.
the most important thing bout this is picking a scheme that is reasonably easy to reproduce and do it production style, whatever techniques to employ.
otherwise, practice practice practice.. and oh yeah practice, things get easier and quicker the more you do it.
W/D/L Eleventy trillion billion/NONE/ NONE - I am STILL rulezor!
WINDMILLS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!
Make a goal to finish your army in a certain amount of time.. everyday sit down and force yourself to paint a unit(6-12 models). that is what i did and i got a 5000+ point army painted.. One unit a day is tough, but still reasonable. you can use drybrushing and inking, and other simple techniques. but the most important thing is to set a deadline/ timeframe so you don't slack.
That is not dead which may eternal lie,
