Thanks, I wasn't entirely sure on the battle damage, but looks OK. The skin I feel is always a personal preference, I have always preferred dark skinned Orks compared with the light GW ones and henceforth most other Ork armies. Also, its done for speed - a basecoat, wash then highlight is pretty much all I want to do. Quick and easy. Might take more care with the big mek and warboss.

Oh, one thing I was wondering... Are nobz, warboss and big mek on terminator bases? If not, should I put them on some?

Nobz are on the 25mm base whereas the warboss and big mek are on the terminator sized ones. =)

I agree regarding the 'greenness' of Orks. I have always preferred a dark shade over a brighter one.

Well it looks cool...
I also prefer darker Ork-shades, but I agree that yours do look a bit off in some way... I can't put my finger on it. It's weird. But I think the overall effect when seeing them en mass looks good so I wouldn't worry to much about it, at least not on the rank and file.

If I ever get round to building my Ork army I would put them on termi bases because it would look somewhat better. Problems would be other people declaring they're on the 'wrong' base size therefore illegal(I ignore those people =]) or not being able to literally put them in an ork trukk. Nonetheless, I think they would look better on termi bases using scenery bits and 'victims' to fill up the space.

Really like how the orks turned out. The blue an brass really compliment each other, without making the orks too bright, like you wanted.

One question, how did you go about that very awesome looking brass?

The brass is very simple, it is VMC Brass washed with GW Badab Black. That is it. Works well for me. =)

I think I'll be putting the Nobz on terminator bases, just need to think of extra stuff to put on them now - I can think of a couple of marine helmets that might just make an appearance there...

I've actually got a few of those little resin bits from the 40k basing kit that I'm not gonna be using(I'm pretty much concentrating on just fantasy now) So perhaps I could pop them in the post if you want them?

So how does the VMC brass compare to the GW range?
