Obviously i'm gonna go for a turbolaser. I guess if you can't get the bit from Forgeworld you can always use the pictures as a reference to build your own. that way you can tailor it to fit you baneblade. I wouldn't want to end up finding out it's the size of a volcano cannon that's for sure, lol (of course it depends on how much time you have, your madness) Oh, and updates are so, so, sooo worth the wait on this thread! wonderful work!:party:8Y

I think the regular battle cannon is perfectly fine for space marines. Too imprecise? They use whirlwinds and vindicators. The baneblade battle cannon uses the giant template, how could you pass that up! It is Apocalypse, use the biggest template you can find and have a blast (pun intended). Great work, you are truly inspired. |

Hmph. My call to Forgeworld this morning was quite unproductive. They won't sell me a turbolaser. They won't sell me a new arm for Lil Tweaker's warhound. They won't even mix parts from the two Revenant titan kits to make the model I'd actually want, not even if it costs them the sale altogether. That's what I call customer service. This whole experience has left me with a very sour taste regarding Forgeworld. I don't quite understand being asked to spend almost $400 on a model that isn't exactly what I want. My plan was to order the Revenant this week, but now I'm not sure I'll order one at all. But back to how this applies to my project, this means I'll either have to use the baneblade cannon, or build my own turbolaser. I'm 50/50 at this point. I'll have to track down the rules for the turbolaser to see what kind of damage it can do. |

Can't you use eBay? It is a nice solution to the problems some people give you... 8Y

You could always just model the turbo laser, and have it count as the battle cannon. I think the stats on them are pretty similar. Making a turbo laser shouldnt be hard though. Sucks about FW customer service. Thats unexcusable in my oppinion. "The customer is always right." As for the tank, I usually hate it when I see IG tanks with SM turrests and weapons, as it just looks weird, but with yours, sanding off all the rivits, it looks amazing. The SM bits really add to the more techy look of the SM, which is a good thing. Regarding the HB sponsons, maybe use the master of the ravenwing twinlinked heavy bolter ammo box, or two regular heavy bolter ammo box from the land speeder/attack bike sprue? I'm not sure how it'd look, but it could work. |

I don't have photos at the moment, but I ripped the dozer blade off the front. I think it looks decent, but to me the dozer blade is kind of pointless if it doesn't extend in front of the tracks. This week I'll investigate ways to make it work. If I get truly inspired, I might be putting two of these dozer blades on the front of this beast. I'm going to be using my upcoming vacation to do some extensive work on this project - I'm hoping to have the majority of it built by the end of the year. On to other questions, since I can't order the Revenant that I want, my plans for an Eldar Apocalypse army have been completely derailed. My options at this point are to either orderer a Revenant that I'm not 100% pleased with, or scrap my Eldar plans and focus on expanding my Dark Angels army to a more Apocalyptic scale. My original thought behind this was to add an Armored Spearhead consisting one each of the Terminus and Ares pattern Land Raiders, and two standard LR's - the notion being that I'll need some hitting power to take down Tweaker's Warhound. Further deliberation has led me to consider a Jackal Pattern Warhound of my own (odd how one has one's choice of arms for the Jackal and Wolf pattern Warhounds, but not for any other titan - it's almost like they just choose to be jerks). My current success behind converting the Baneblade has made me think that a Dark Angels Warhound might be beyond spectacular. The prospect of this leaves me salivating in spite of the cost of the thing. So my options are:
So what do you guys think? | ||

I would say ditch the eldar either way you go the only thing that you have to decide is how much you wanna spend. I would say both would be cool and IMO i think the armored spearhead would be better because a warhound is apocalypse specific where as you can use the land raiders in other games as well or smaller ones! I think you should stick with the DA because they are all looking amazing and an apocalyse army painted at your quality just astounds me!

For the dozer blades. There is a picture near the back of Imperial Armour 1(imperial guard vehicles) of a baneblade with a custom dozer blade/mine clearer. It looked a little bit like this(please bear with me) ![]() I hope you can understand what I'm trying to get through here... The dozer blades they've used are the ones off the guard vehicle accessory frame with scratch built hydraulics Unfortunately its not as simple as that, but I'm guessing I'm not allowed to take a picture of the page and post it on here... Still, if you are able to get hold of this book, look on page 286, a double page picture of some diorama. If you know how I am able to get the actual picture across to you, please tell me Still, I hope I've been of some help.

@inquisitor smith - That's what I was thinking of, though I thought the gigantic dozer blades from Forgeworld would look a lot more menacing. Thanks for the info. @STDaddict - Thanks for your comments. Alas, I'm pretty much swimming in heavy support choices already, so throwing more Land Raiders into the mix won't help my non-apoc lists much, especially considering how infrequently I use tanks. While a column of Land Raiders charging an enemy line seems dead sexy, titans kind of define "awesome". I'm still unsure. So tough to decide.
