In this thread members who signed up for the 'event' will be required to post each month - on the 1st of the month the following items:
* A picture of 200pts worth of miniatures that they have painted for the month's challenge
* A picture of the entire army that they have painted thus far.
In addition, members are allowed to post any fluff or list that they have selected to use or comments which they decide to post. They are also allowed to have their own WIP blogs, but still must post the images in this thread.
The following members have chosen to do a fantasy army:
Beasts of Chaos
Empire (Olaf's Hired Muscle)
Vampire Counts (Lahmia
Best of luck to you all! First deadline is.... 1st November
Kicking this bad boy off with my November 1st entry. I had it easy this month, simply painting my Prophetess. As the month has gone on, I've learned a lot more about WFB and Brets (which at the beginning of the month was close to 0), so I may at some point in the year paint a little extra up Lord and Hero-wise and downgrade her to a Damsel. I had also planned on doing Beast Lore and Life Lore versions of her, and still do, but can't get the models here until at least a week into November.
Anyway, this is my Lore of Heavens Prophetess, with the following upgrades:
/with Upgrade to Level 4 Wizard
/with Bretonnian Warhorse
/with The Silver Mirror
/with 2 Dispel Scrolls
She comes in at 330 points.
Comments and Criticisms are always welcome! Looking forward to next month and actually painting a good bit of models!

Sword of Battle, Armour of Damnation and the Crown of Horns.
Yeah, I didn't so much do anything. I built a load of guys, and have 24 beastys sitting on my desk with several layers done, but they won't be finished and photographed by thursday unfortunately...
Pressure is off for a month though, so I shall finish them off and try and get enough stuff to play some small games...

I am sorry. I had to comment. It was forced upon me at gunpoint...
Did your beastlord learn to apply his lipstick from his dad? :rofl;?:rofl:happy:
There I said it. I get to live and paint one more figure... HA HA HA HA
Sorry to hear you didn't get your figures painted in time. Looking forward to seeing what you do next month.

Skeleton Regiment - 185 points
20 skeletons, Full command (Champion, Standard Bearer, Musician)
I feel I should declare this unit was basecoated before the challenge began, and that it's not strictly finished - I haven't painted the hilts of any of the swords, as I want to paint them gold or bronze - and I thought I had some gold paint, but it turns out I don't. So they'll be 'finished' when I get more paint.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and I don't have any basing materials yet, either. So that will happen later as well.
I was hoping to get a few Dire Wolves done to bring me up to 200 points, but I don't think that will happen. So, next month for them, I guess.
Progress: 185/200 (-15 points)
*goes grumbling off to find a camera*
Never did manage to get my 'wood' effect, ah well, the it can stay as a damn coat of plain brown. Same goes for the horses.
I'll put up pics tonight after school.
And yeah minus_t, I think you really need to make that blood more...splattered, like he's just eaten someone, rather than uniform like lipstick. Still good though.
